Our Williams Comfort Air and Mr. Plumber team members are proud of our community. All of us are committed to investing the time and resources needed to improve the quality of life for the residents and businesses in Central Indiana.

Joe began his career in the HVAC/Plumbing industry in February of 1974, serving a local heating and cooling company for 11 years. In 1985, he founded Davis-Huck Heating and Air Conditioning and in 1990 founded Huck Heating and Cooling serving the Central Indiana Marketplace.
Huck Heating and Cooling became Dial One Huck Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and More in 2001 where Joe worked until 2007. He and his partners then purchased Williams Comfort Air in May, 2007, Metzler’s Plumbing in April 2008, Hallam Plumbing in 2012 (now called Mr. Plumber by Metzler and Hallam) as well as Shelby Air Conditioning in 2012. In October of 2012, Joe, his partners and the entire staff of WCA joined Defender Direct to become the model location for its HVAC operations.
Joe is a native Hoosier, graduating from Roncalli High School and attending the School of Architecture at Purdue University. He has also attended many trade-related schools and seminars. Joe is a member of the Heating and Cooling Association of Central Indiana and The Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis and the Better Business Bureau.
“Doing the right thing on behalf of the customer – whatever it takes” is Joe’s belief in providing the very best service to his clients, while delivering comfort to their homes in a timely manner. He strives to set a daily example of integrity for his team by always putting the client’s needs before his own schedule. He believes that customers want… “someone who wants the job to be done better than they do”… and he strives for that excellence.
Joe has been married to Donna since 1984 and has been blessed with five children and eight wonderful grandchildren. He enjoys exercising, attending NASCAR events, as well as fishing with his father and son… and soon his grandchildren. After 40 years of service to his HVAC clients over the years, Joe is finally picking up the game of golf.
HVAC Service Manager
Josh was raised in the heating and cooling industry as a part of Huck Heating and Cooling. He has served in many capacities… installation, customer service, marketing and informational systems. Josh became a partner at Williams Comfort Air in May, 2007. Josh joined the Defender Direct family of companies in October 2012 where he serves as a Service Manager for Williams Comfort Air and True Home Heating | Cooling | Plumbing, putting his many years of experience and industry knowledge to good use and “learning to lead and grow leaders and loving it!”
Josh is a native Hoosier, graduating from Hamilton Southeastern High School and attending the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Josh challenges his team by setting an example of doing the right thing, involving others and taking care of their customers’ needs at all times. He stresses to always ask “why” and to learn from each success and problem.
Josh and his wife Sarah have been married for almost three years and have a little one on the way.
Dan Lockart, Jr.
HVAC Install Manager
Dan has built his career in the HVAC/Plumbing industry from the ground up. He was an installer for 11 years, a service technician for 8 years and has spent the last 11 years in service/installation management. Dan became a partner in Williams Comfort Air in May, 2007.
Dan is a native Hoosier who graduated from Mount Vernon High School. He later graduated from ITT Technical Institute and attended numerous trade-related training seminars. He has been certified by North American Technicians Excellence (NATE) for the past 24 years, holds geothermal heat pump certifications, holds seven local city/municipal HVAC licenses and an Indianapolis Master Unlimited Air Conditioning License.
“It takes a team to provide service excellence to our clients” is Dan’s long-time belief. Teamwork, mutual respect and performing each task – no matter how small – with integrity is the key to providing excellence in customer service. Dan encourages his team to strive for excellence in their careers and in their personal lives, reminding them of their responsibilities to their customers, co-workers and families. Dan draws upon the hundreds of experiences that he has encountered over the years to help his team when they are faced with difficult circumstances.
Dan is married to Trina and has a daughter Ashley who has blessed him with the two lights of his life, his grand-daughters, Lillian Marie and Olivia Kay.
He enjoys many outdoor recreations and shares his home with six (6) English Mastiffs.
Jeff has been in the plumbing trade for 41 years. He owned and operated a plumbing company for 19 years, which he sold to a major consolidator in 1996. He then began working with a large HVAC company developing and growing a plumbing service department within the organization. In April of 2008, he left this company to become a partner at Williams Comfort Air and to manage the plumbing side of the business, Metzler’s Mr. Plumber.
Jeff graduated from St. Mary’s High School located in Kentucky and attended college. He served 7 years with the Mechanical Skills Apprenticeship Training School as a committee member and substitute teacher. He served the Indiana Plumbing Commission as a Journeyman license test proctor for 20 years.
Jeff believes in quality work and complete customer satisfaction. He enjoys using his many years of experience to train our plumbers, knowing that our customers will benefit from this. Having very experienced and well trained technicians assures that the customer receives the best service possible.
Jeff has been married to Mary for 42 years and has a son and a daughter, both of whom are married. He enjoys playing golf, reading, fishing and playing cards socially with friends.
HVAC Sales Director
Tom began his career in the HVAC/Plumbing industry in 1982 as an installer and technician and has served as a sales manager since 1995. At the beginning of his career, Tom worked as an installer helper for 5 months before becoming a lead installer which he served as for 4 years. He then worked as a service technician from June of 1988 until he started his own HVAC business in May of 1994. Tom sold his HVAC business in July of 1998 and moved to Phoenix, AZ where he worked in sales for 7 years for an HVAC company in Mesa, AZ. He and his family moved back to Indiana in December of 2005 where he accepted a sales position with Dial One and moved on to become a partner with the purchase of Williams Comfort Air in May 2007.
Tom’s experience in the “hands-on” installation and service areas makes him invaluable to both the team and the customer. Tom is able to benefit his clients with his practical knowledge of heating and cooling as it applies to best meeting their needs. Likewise, he is able to pass on this knowledge to the Williams Comfort Air Comfort Consultants for the benefit of all clients.
Tom graduated high school in Batesville, Indiana and received a 2 year completion certificate from Southeastern Indiana Vocational Tech School and a 1 year completion certificate from Cincinnati Tech School. He holds certifications in residential as well as industrial electrical wiring and troubleshooting, HVAC, refrigeration installation and troubleshooting, as well as a Universal refrigeration license. Tom is certified through HVAC duct design and has received a Certificate of Achievement with Carrier for Heat Pumps and Geothermal.
“Assess the client’s needs and then recommend the best options” is Tom’s philosophy. He emphasizes to his team that listening to the customer is critical and presenting a solution that best fits their needs… not what the consultant would like to sell… is the right way to do business.
Tom has been married to his wife Alisa for 24 years; together they have two sons, Jeremy (23) and Cody (21), and a grandson on the way. Tom enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, the great outdoors and football.
Customer Care Manager
Laura first joined the Williams Comfort Air team in January of 1997 and was initially responsible for all aspects of its service department. In October of 2012 she joined the Defender Direct family of companies, bringing 15 years of experience in the HVAC/Plumbing industry and a deep love of serving its customer base. Over the years Laura has grown with the business and now oversees a team of people who have been trained according to her belief and commitment to customer service excellence.
Laura graduated from Carmel High School and received her Bachelor’s degree and MBA from Ball State University.
“Service excellence is the quality that sets Williams Comfort Air above our competition” is Laura’s firm belief. She leads her team by example – striving to ensure that all of her daily interactions positively affect the relationships with her team and her customers.
In her free time, Laura simply loves to spend quality time with her family and friends.
Customer Assurance Advocate
Tina brings many years of service experience to the Williams Comfort Air team through her diverse background. Born in Minnesota, Tina grew up in Ohio and then lived in Las Vegas for 12 years where she worked as a blackjack dealer and increased her love for serving clients. She has been a Hoosier for 8 years and has passionately served in her HVAC/Plumbing Customer Service role for the past two years.
Tina graduated from Pickerington High School in Ohio and has since attended cosmetology school as well as Ivy Tech.
She strongly believes that…“Williams Comfort Air is a company based on trust and customer service” which is why she is a client advocate first and foremost. “A company must do what it takes to earn a client’s trust” and Tina is willing to do just that. She has a passion for customer service and loves seeing the impact that a good client experience can have on an individual, a home and a business.
Tina and her fiancé, Clinton, have 5 beautiful children between the two of them. She loves to garage sale hunt on the weekends and enjoys working in her yard and reading.
Mike began his career in the HVAC industry 28 years ago. He has worked for several local heating and cooling companies and joined Williams Comfort Air in 2007.
Mike has lived in Indiana for 44 years and graduated from Mount Vernon High School. He is certified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and North American Technicians Excellence (NATE), has completed two years of vocational training and has attended many trade-related seminars.
“Installing the job correctly and neatly in a timely manner” is Mike’s vision of service excellence. Mike previews all installations for the accuracy of ordering materials and properly scheduling time and crew. He reviews each installation with the installation crew, ensuring that any possible questions or concerns are addressed before they arrive at the customer’s home. He also checks in during the installations to check for unexpected issues.
Mike has two children. He enjoys fishing, boating and coaching baseball.
